“[Question: You’re going to be joining many business leaders to decide on the most prestigious award we have in India. What is it that you’re excited for? And are there any lessons that you bring from the chessboard to this boardroom?]

The way it works in chess is just like in war. We have a strategy, and then it fails, and then we improvise. And I think business is probably going to be very similar.

I think hearing the stories and trying to pick who is the best is going to be fun. Also, it’s nice for me to have a chance to judge another world. Not the sports world as always!”

The IBLA Jury Meet took place on November 4 in New Delhi, India. Viswanathan Anand served as part of the Distinguished Jury. He judged India’s top business leaders to determine the winners of the awards.
