WR Chess CEO Wadim Rosenstein announced that the American part of the Women’s Chess Tour 2026 will take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The event will run from July 1-2.
The tournament will be sponsored by companies including American Airlines, JetBlue, Delta, Air Canada and others, together with Dominican Republic.
The WR Chess Women’s Tour 2026 will take place across 5 locations, including Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe, from June 5 to the end of 2026. The Asian part will take place in Tokyo, Japan, and the European part in Saint-Tropez, France. All participants will receive accommodation and travel expenses. The total prize fund across the tour is $200,000.
WR Chess is a high-profile chess organization and tournament organizer founded by German entrepreneur Wadim Rosenstein. The company is based in Germany and focuses on organizing elite international events and promoting chess as a social tool. WR Chess is a major supporter and participant in the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team Championship.
