Writer and YouTuber“Faustino is, in the end, a player who has impressive talent. He is a tremendously young kid who has practically no experience in life. And he speaks, of course, about this situation he finds himself in. That he suddenly starts playing during the pandemic and discovers that he plays chess better than anyone else.
But this is not the usual thing and it is not simple to find a person with such great talent. So, friends, I recommend that you always use the fundamentals, and regardless of what is working for Faustino, let’s not compare ourselves to him.
And I am going to dare to recommend to Faustino that he read some chess book. Because it will surely help him simply to dedicate some time away from the screen, which is so enriching nowadays, since screens are killing us.”
Faustino Oro spoke about how he learns chess in early October. Oro said that he has not read chess books. Faustino noted that learning with a computer is much easier for him.
12-year-old Faustino Oro is World’s No. 250 and Argentina’s No. 1 with 2560 Classical points. He became the second-youngest GM in history in May.
