The Monegasque Chess Federation, in partnership with the Monte-Carlo Chess Club and with the support of Evren Ucok, is organizing a match from April 12th to 17th, 2026, between Bulgarian Grandmaster Vesilin Topalov, former world champion, and the young Turkish Grandmaster Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus. The match will be played over six classical games. In the event of a tie (3-3), an Armageddon game will be played to determine the winner of the trophy. A unique event that will pit the experience of a seasoned champion against the audacity of a rising star!
