“[Question from chat: About Kramnik and the company that were hounding you. Considering that you have been playing with Proctor for a year now and your level of play has not dropped at all, why did they just go silent and not even apologize?]

That is roughly what they did, yes. I do not think they are used to apologizing, especially Kramnik. It seems to me that Kramnik has never apologized to anyone in his life. And he does not think there is anything to apologize for.

Kramnik simply thinks: “Well, we, so to speak, had reasonable doubts about the level of the player’s play. It turned out that he was not banned. Probably he plays on his own. Nothing can be ruled out.” Something like that.

For them to feel some kind of guilt for something — that is definitely not there. That is why I do not expect any apologies from Kramnik and his company. Levitov, Kramnik, it is all the same.

[Question from chat: Does Kramnik not feel guilt for Daniel?]

Kramnik has repeatedly stated that it is not his fault. About what happened to Naroditsky.”

EDC has issued its decision on disciplinary proceedings against Vladimir Kramnik in early July. EDC found Kramnik responsible for multiple violations of the FIDE Code of Ethics and the Disciplinary Code. Kramnik was found guilty of bullying and cyberbullying, violation of the right to dignity and respectful treatment, psychological abuse, false or unjustified public accusations, and other offences.

Vladimir Kramnik submitted an appeal against the decision a few days later. Kramnik requested the EDC Appeal Chamber to annul the decision, to declare that the proceedings were fundamentally flawed, and other requests.

Kramnik’s legal team registered a formal civil complaint with the Tribunal of Lausanne on September 15. The lawsuit is directed against FIDE for violating Vladimir’s personal rights.

Vladimir publicly stated that Matvey Galchenko cheats in early 2024. Kramnik had publicly suspected Daniel Naroditsky, David Navara, Zhamsaran Tsydypov, and other prominent players of cheating.
