“We drew with India. We should have won the match, but we were a little unlucky.

Honestly, I’m running out of energy, but we still have the final games left, which are very important for us. We’ll play France in the 10th round.

It’s a very long Olympiad, never-ending one. We have a good team, we have every chance, and we’ll try our best!”

The Chess Olympiad 2026 takes place from September 16 to 27 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The women’s Kazakhstan team is in 3rd place with 15 points after 9 days of the event. Bibisara Assaubayeva has lost 4.8 rating points during the event.
