But Faustino doesn’t. He’s always playing chess. In fact, chess is a kind of video game for him. He views it that way.”

Argentinian GM Faustino Oro regularly plays in Classic, Rapid, and Blitz tournaments. In 2025 and 2026, Faustino played in 34 events, including FIDE World Cup 2025, FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025, Tata Steel Challengers 2026, Aeroflot Open 2026 and others. Faustino Oro became the second-youngest GM at the age of 12 years and 6 months on May 10.
