WR Chess announced an exhibition match between Argentine GM Faustino Oro and Mexican GM Jose Martinez Alcantara. The match will take place on June 25 in Lima, the capital of Peru.

The match will feature 2 Rapid and 4 Blitz games with time controls 15+0 and 3+0 respectively. The prize fund of the event is $10,000. Faustino Oro and Jose Martinez will play each other over-the-board for the first time.

12-year-old Faustino Oro is the second-youngest GM in history and the youngest player to reach 2500 in Classical, Rapid, and Blitz. Mexican GM Jose Martinez Alcantara is Mexico’s No. 1 and a prominent player in weekly online tournaments.
