The 3rd and final day of the Esports World Cup 2026 Last Chance Qualifier in Paris has concluded. Five players qualified for Esports World Cup 2026:

  • ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Alexander Grischuk

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Parham Maghsoodloo and ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Oleksandr Bortnyk took 1st-2nd place by advancing to the Upper Bracket Final. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ Wei Yi and ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Vladislav Artemiev took 3rd-4th place by advancing to the Lower Bracket Semifinal. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Alexander Grischuk took 5th place, scoring half a point more thanย ย  ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Andrew Tang in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinal.

The EWC 2026 Last Chance Qualifier took place from August 4 to 6, in Paris, France. The event featured four group 7-round Swiss parts and a 16-player Knockout. All games at the tournament featured Rapid 10+0 time control.

The Esports World Cup is an annual international gaming tournament and festival. The chess tournament at the 2026 edition of the EWC will take place from August 11 to 15 in Paris. The event will feature a $1,500,000 prize fund.
