English FM Bodhana Sivanandan completed the final WGM norm at the Chess Olympiad 2026. Sivanandan became the youngest WGM in history at the age of 11.

Four-time Women’s World Champion Hou Yifan and Kateryna Lagno are the only players to reach the WGM title at the age of 12. Sivanandan is the first and only 11-year-old WGM.

Bodhana Sivanandan (2303) is England’s No. 2 female player. At the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2023, Sivanandan won with a perfect score in all three disciplines, including Classical, Rapid, and Blitz. In 2025, Bodhana became the youngest female chess player to defeat a GM. She won over GM Peter Wells at the 2025 British Chess Championship.
