Russian content creator“During this anti-cheating campaign from Kramnik, relationships were destroyed, a person died. He died from all of this, could not withstand what was happening.
And the chess world essentially received a kind of universal ban on discussing this topic. After Daniel’s death, it is no longer possible to discuss cheating, and therefore, to fight it.

EDC has issued its decision on disciplinary proceedings against Vladimir Kramnik in early July. EDC found Kramnik responsible for multiple violations of the FIDE Code of Ethics and the Disciplinary Code. Kramnik was found guilty of bullying and cyberbullying, violation of the right to dignity and respectful treatment, psychological abuse, false or unjustified public accusations, and other offences.
Vladimir Kramnik submitted an appeal against the decision a few days later. Kramnik requested the EDC Appeal Chamber to annul the decision, to declare that the proceedings were fundamentally flawed, and other requests.
Kramnik’s legal team registered a formal civil complaint with the Tribunal of Lausanne on September 15. The lawsuit is directed against FIDE for violating Vladimir’s personal rights.
