The FIDE World Cup 2025 final between Wei Yi and Javokhir Sindarov is headed to a tiebreak after the players drew their second game. The grandmasters agreed to a draw after 30 moves in a rapid game. The first game of the final took them 50 moves to conclude a draw. The tiebreak is scheduled for November 26.
The FIDE World Cup 2025 winner earns $120,000, while the runner-up receives $85,000. The top three finishers qualify for the 2026 FIDE Candidates Tournament. Both Wei Yi and Javokhir Sindarov are guaranteed a spot in next year’s Candidates.
