“We look forward to welcoming Ms. Shahade on the road with us, where she will be speaking, educating, and presenting at upcoming US Chess events nationwide.”

WGM Jennifer Shahade (2322 Inactive) is a two-time U.S. Women’s Chess Champion and a prominent figure in the global chess community. Shahade publicly accused GM Alejandro Ramirez of sexually assaulting her twice in 2023, and cited evidence of him abusing other women and minors. Shahade alleged that US Chess failed to act on her private warnings about Ramirez. She filed a six-count lawsuit against US Chess in 2024, included claims of defamation, retaliation, and gender discrimination.
