“Vladimir Kramnik doesn’t play anymore, so disqualifying him is some kind of formal decision. This is nonsense. There was an organized large-scale harassment of Vladimir, and the FIDE Ethics Commission decided to join it a little.

I have never had warm feelings for the Ethics Commission. This decision is like spitting on a person. What would I change in the International Chess Federation? I would change everything!”

EDC has issued its decision on disciplinary proceedings against Vladimir Kramnik on July 3rd. EDC found Kramnik responsible for multiple violations of the FIDE Code of Ethics and the Disciplinary Code. Kramnik was found guilty of bullying and cyberbullying, violation of the right to dignity and respectful treatment, psychological abuse, false or unjustified public accusations, and other offences.
