Anish Giri
Dutch GM“The problem is that I’m a bad player. So, no matter the strategy — I’ll have very bad chances. That’s really the problem.
But I think the best strategy for a bad player to win the tournament — is that he has to be very aggressive.”
The FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026 takes place from March 28 to April 16 at the Cap St Georges Hotel and Resort in Pegeia, Cyprus. Dutch GM Anish Giri (2753) holds 3rd place with 2 points, after 4 rounds of the tournament.
