Javokhir Sindarov shared his thoughts on his brother Islombek Sindarov’s performance at the Naroditsky Memorial 2026. Javokhir points out Islombek’s skill in Blitz, and notes that he enjoyed their game together.

“I think like the last time I played against my brother at the over-the-board tournament was 8 or 9 years ago. He’s actually a pretty good Blitz player. He also managed to win some Grandmasters. But then he started tilting at some moment.

My brother probably isn’t too happy about me talking about our game, because I drew twice with Mukhiddin and won against my brother. But anyways, it’s very good.”

19-year-old Islombek Sindarov is a Candidate Master and Uzbekistan’s No. 141. In 2014 he won a gold medal at the World School Chess Championship. Islombek is also known as a streamer, content creator, and a National Arbiter in Uzbekistan. At the Naroditsky Memorial 2026, Islombek finished 39th in Rapid and 47th in Blitz.
