“The first 3 games of the Candidates clearly showed that some people are very overrated and others underrated…

It’s undeniable that having to make a recap after every game, especially a loss — is a huge disadvantage.

Those who actively compete against top-level competition obviously have a clear edge. Let’s see how the chess continues to speak for itself.”

The FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament 2026 takes place from March 28 to April 16, at the Cap St Georges Hotel and Resort in Pegeia, Cyprus.
