GM Daniel Naroditsky was removed from Titled Tuesday mid-tournament for violating Chess.com’s streaming requirements. Since February 2025, he had been required to use Chess.com’s proctoring system, which mandates either emote-only chat or a stream delay. He chose to play round eight without emote-only mode, resulting in his removal.

…Frustrations that I think are born out of a desire for sort of basic standards of fairness to be upheld… I have not felt the sort of logic behind doing emote only, which really does harm the experience for the viewer.
Title Tuesday is Chess.com’s weekly Blitz tournament held every Tuesday with two separate events—one at 11 AM ET and another at 5 PM ET—offering $1,000 first prizes and regularly attracting elite players including Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Fabiano Caruana.
