Sportsbook operator Betby has announced a series of on-stage events with Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Levy Rozman in Barcelona on January 20. Magnus and Hikaru will play an exhibition blindfold chess match, with GothamChess as the host.

The event will feature a series of interactive matches, including giving audience members the chance to sit at the chessboard opposite the legendary players. This will be followed by an conversation with Carlsen, Nakamura, and Rozman. It will be a casual talk moderated by Levy, during which the trio will discuss topics such as strategic thinking, precision, mental discipline, and the evolution of chess.

Magnus Carlsen wore a suit with the taped Betby logo during the FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025 in Qatar, where sportsbook advertising was prohibited by regulations. The logo on Magnus’s clothing was covered with tape from the second day until the end of the tournament.
