On move 35, Bynum made a brilliant move, sacrificing his queen. Magnus was forced to capture the queen, followed by mate from Jacorey on move 36. Magnus Carlsen played the game with 89.7 accuracy, while Bynum’s was 92.3.

Titled Tuesday is Chess.com’s weekly 11-round Swiss Blitz tournament for titled players, occurring every Tuesday. The difference between the FIDE ratings of GM Magnus Carlsen (2869 Blitz) and NM Jacorey Bynum (1965 Blitz) is 904 points as of January 2026.
