In July, chess platforms Lichess.org and Chess.com introduced changes to their game analysis systems. Lichess expanded its functionality, while Chess.com made certain features available only to specific paid subscription tiers.

Lichess game analysis now includes accuracy metrics for the Opening, Middlegame, and Endgame. Overall game accuracy is calculated separately from the accuracy of individual game stages.

Chess.com removed Advanced Stats from the Platinum subscription tier. Access to this statistics section is now limited to the highest-priced Diamond subscription tier. The previously free Tactics and Strategy sections in the game analysis are now available only by subscription.

Game analysis on Lichess, like all other features on the site, has always been and remains free. On Chess.com, several features are only available through a paid monthly subscription. It is divided into three levels: Gold ($4.86/m), Platinum ($7.78/m), and Diamond ($11.67/m). Paid features include puzzles, lessons, bots, AI coaches, game reviews, deep explanations, advanced stats, and more.
