Garry Kasparov and Viswanathan Anand will compete in a 12-game Chess960 exhibition match from October 7-11 in St. Louis. The former world champions will play a mix of rapid and blitz games in the event organized by the Saint Louis Chess Club.
The match features two former world champions in the Fischer Random format, where starting positions are randomized rather than the traditional chess setup. Clutch Chess: The Legends is the Saint Louis Chess Club’s exhibition series featuring top players in alternative formats.
