Javokhir Sindarov won the FIDE World Chess Cup 2025, becoming the youngest champion in the event’s history at 19 years old. The Uzbek grandmaster defeated China’s Wei Yi in the final 15+10 rapid tie-break to claim the title.

Sindarov qualified for the 2026 Candidates Tournament through his World Cup performance and won $120,000 for first place.

The FIDE World Cup 2025 took place in Goa, India, from October 30 to November 26. 206 players competed for three slots in the 2026 Candidates Tournament and a share of the $2,000,000 prize pool.
