Former Executive Director of the Chess Federation of Russia, Mark Glukhovsky, commented on a video published on X with his monologue. Glukhovsky states the recording was made illegally and edited with AI. Mark says he filed a police report against the person who posted the video.
Mark Glukhovsky
Former Executive Director of RCF“On Friday, a private conversation of mine was published online — secretly recorded, then cut and reworked, partly with AI.
By publishing a private conversation, then edited to serve someone’s purpose — you commit a crime. In the Netherlands, where this conversation took place, the law says so plainly, and so do the data-protection rules of Europe. Today, I have filed with the police, and proceedings against the person responsible begin.
On Uzbekistan, I’ll speak for myself. I’ve worked there for years, and I’ll be in Samarkand at the Olympiad, glad as always to be there. I have so many friends in Uzbekistan, I love them and I worked with them for decades, and they know my view of this amazing country.
Thank you, as Donald Trump says, to the attention to this matter.”
Mark Glukhovsky spoke about his experience as a presidential campaign manager for Arkady Dvorkovich. The X account ‘Chess Conspiracy’ published a recording of Glukhovsky’s monologue on August 28.
Glukhovsky mentioned bribes in the context of communicating with delegates from countries around the world. Mark stated that Uzbekistan’s vote in the election does not matter.
Mark Glukhovsky is a Russian chess organizer, journalist, and former executive. He served as the Executive Director of the Chess Federation of Russia from 2014 to 2023. Glukhovsky was the head of Arkady Dvorkovich’s election campaign headquarters during the 2018 FIDE Presidential Campaign.
