American GM Hans Moke Niemann could not connect to the first round of Titled Tuesday on April 28. Niemann commented on the Proctor system in a post on X:
Hans Moke Niemann
American GM“Chess mafia Proctor is such a joke! Zero-point bye in the first round…
Absolutely intolerable, should I try comeback with 0/1?
I hope it’s just a coincidence, nothing loaded, then I clicked ‘Join’ 10 times and nothing worked…”
Hans added to his comment in a new post an hour later:
Hans Moke Niemann
American GM“Although my complaints are a natural promo for Endgame.ai, do not misinterpret my frustration as an excuse!
Next time I’ll buy Starlink or setup Ethernet to ensure that their shitty software doesn’t collapse…”
Niemann played in three rounds of the tournament and left early, scoring 1 point and finishing 343rd.
Titled Tuesday is Chess.com’s weekly 11-round Swiss tournament for titled players, occurring every Tuesday. Proctor is Chess.com’s identity verification and anti-cheating software, required for participating in weekly online events.
