Russian GM Ian Nepomniachtchi visited the FERZ chess club in Dubai for a premier chess night before his departure for the Aeroflot Open 2026.

The club hosted a dedicated event titled “PREMIER Chess Night with World Blitz Champion Ian Nepomniachtchi” on February 21. At the event, Ian took part in the exhibition program:

• Simultaneous chess match
• Individual games with VIP guests
• Art exhibition featuring international artists
• Masquerade ball

FERZ Club is a non-permanent chess club in Dubai that blends playing chess with art, music, and food. The club has held 25 events since 2023, collaborating with various business clubs and brands.
