“Obviously, I’m playing badly here. And the few chances I had — I didn’t use. So, what can I say? A bad tournament.

I really appreciate all the fans who come every day. There are always a lot of people here, and I love that. But this tournament has been tough for me, and there are days when I just want to be left alone.

I usually try to sign autographs and take photos after a game. But I’m just not in the best mood here. So, I want to apologize to the fans, their support means a lot to me!”

The Prague International Chess Festival 2026 takes place in Czech Republic from February 25 to March 6. In 7 rounds, Gukesh Dommaraju (2748) has not won a single game in the tournament and is in last place with 2 points.
