Uzbekistan's No. 3

“I have been competing with Sindarov and Abdusattorov since childhood. Shamsiddin Vokhidov is also part of this rivalry.

When someone achieves a better result than the others in a tournament, on the one hand it pushes you to work harder on yourself, and on the other hand it puts a certain amount of pressure on you. Your loved ones also expect results.

So, I can call this healthy competition. We tried to work harder on ourselves in order to become stronger than each other. It was a motivating factor for us.”

Nodirbek Yakubboyev is World’s No. 25 and Uzbekistan’s No. 3 with 2712 points. Yakubboyev is 68 points behind Uzbekistan’s No. 2 Nodirbek Abdusattorov. Javokhir Sindarov became World’s No. 3 for the first time with 2782.0 points on October 15.
