Daniil Dubov spoke about his upcoming match with an untitled player for $20,000. Dubov says his chances of a clean sweep are around 10%. Daniil notes that his opponent Josh Smith plays well at the amateur level. Dubov spoke about it in an interview with Chess with Mustreader.

“Josh is a very pleasant person. We called each other a couple of times, talked. He assesses the situation quite rationally.

The only thing is, I think he was a little bit too cautious. He actually plays decently. Maybe I would have chances if I had to win 100-0 in person.

Online, considering misclicks, disconnects, and the fact that it is a one-minute game, honestly, I think my chances at 100-0 are about 10%. I think less.”

Daniil Dubov and untitled club player Josh Smith will play a match on November 7 on Chess.com. The match will consist of 100 Bullet games with a 1+0 time control. The prize fund for the match is $20,000, with $10,000 as a starting fee for Dubov. Daniil will get a $10,000 sweep bonus for winning 100-0.
