Co-Founder of Chessable and American IM John Bartholomew shared his opinion on Levy Rozman’s prospects of becoming a Grandmaster. John points to Levy’s workload from content creation and running businesses and emphasizes the need to focus on studying.
John Bartholomew
Co-Founder of Chessable“I don’t think Levy will make GM doing what he currently does. I think he’s capable, but I just kind of sense from his current approach.
He’s still obviously very much engaged in content creation, and probably the four or five other businesses that he’s running… I just think that’s way too much, if he wants to make a serious push for GM. I think he’d probably have to cut 90% of what he’s doing at minimum.
I was on a podcast with Levy, and I was encouraging him — if he wanted to make a go at GM to try to delegate even more than he currently does. He probably delegates a lot of his stuff, but I think he’d have to do even more, to extreme level, so he could focus on studying.
I don’t really see it happening otherwise. I think he could though.”
