World No. 2 Hikaru Nakamura shared his view on the successes of Turkish GM Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus at the Tata Steel Chess 2026. In the video on his YouTube channel Hikaru stated that Erdogmus is the greatest 14-year-old in the history of chess.

Turkish GM Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus (2658) earned the Grandmaster title at the age of 12. Erdogmus is participating in Tata Steel Masters 2026, alongside the World’s elite players. Magnus Carlsen named Erdogmus the best player in his age group during the FIDE World Rapid Championship 2025.
