“I certainly think that there is some talent, Levy was a decent player as a kid. However, there are symptoms of serious nerves and lack of inexperience and his, sort of, break from classical chess. There are also major opening holes, which show that he’s not investing enough time into his openings and he’s not playing openings that match his style in my opinion.

I think he needs a strong opening foundation, then he also needs to become more patient, maybe analyze some Karpov games. I think he needs to choose his tournaments well, he needs to play them more. He really should be playing at least two tournaments a month.

He should probably be studying a lot more, I don’t know how much time his YouTube stuff takes, but still. He needs to play more over-the-board training games, he needs to have more training camps, he needs to surround himself with stronger chess players to influence him, he needs to be friends with stronger chess players. Generally, I wish the best for him!”
