Organizers of the Grand Chess Tour announced the lineup and dates for the first tournament of the 2026 tour. The Super Rapid & Blitz Poland 2026 will feature 10 players from 6 countries, and will take place from May 4 to May 10.

The event consists of two tournaments in single Round-Robin format. Points for both tournaments are summed up in a single leaderboard. Rapid and Blitz tournaments feature 25+10 and 5+2 time controls respectively. Rapid will take place from May 5th to 7th and Blitz from May 8th to 9th. The event features a $200,000 prize pool.

The Grand Chess Tour is a premier global circuit of international tournaments. The 2026 edition of a tour will take place in Poland, Romania, Croatia and USA from May 4 to August 28. Slovenian GM Vladimir Fedoseev won the 2025 edition of the Poland event.
