World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju shared his opinion on cheating in chess. Gukesh states that he does not support any unfair play, and notes that he disagrees with most of Vladimir Kramnik’s accusations.

“Obviously, I’m against any kind of unfair or unethical play. I’ve never done that, and I really hope no one does. This is a problem we’ve been seeing lately.

Speaking specifically about Kramnik, I don’t support what he’s been doing lately. I don’t support most of his accusations.

Many people have been paranoid for the last couple of years. I think people are making the problem bigger than it actually is. I believe there should be more harmony and peace in the chess world.”

The 14th World Champion Vladimir Kramnik had publicly suspected Daniel Naroditsky, David Navarra and other prominent players of cheating in 2024 and 2025. Kramnik faced harassment following the passing of Daniel in October 2025.
