American IM and streamer Eric Rosen donated $25,000 to the Daniel Naroditsky Fellowship Fund. Rosen says the mission of the Naroditsky Memorial Rapid & Blitz 2026 means a lot to him. Eric notes that he is glad that the chess community can honor Daniel’s legacy in a meaningful way.

“First of all, the whole mission of this tournament to honor Naroditsky’s legacy means a lot to me. It means a lot to our community.

And I feel like it was one of the least responsible things that I could do. To make a contribution and hopefully bring a lot of good. To continue to bring good to the chess community.

It’s incredible to come to this event and just see how well organized it is, how nice everyone has been throughout the event, and meet so many people that he’s had an impact on.

I’m looking forward to many more editions of this event and I’m glad we can we can honor his legacy in a meaningful way.”

The Naroditsky Memorial Rapid & Blitz 2026 took place from July 3 to 5. The event is an international festival created to honor the life and legacy of Daniel Naroditsky. A Fellowship Fund was established alongside the event to support this competition and junior chess.
