Formal complaints allege FIDE fair-play violations in the rating achievement of three-year-old Sarvagya Singh Kushwaha. The complaints claim his three rated victories were against coaches at his own academy, suggesting irregularities. The child’s father and coach deny the allegations, FIDE does not comment on ongoing reviews.

A submitted complaint states the rating was achieved through “clear violations of FIDE’s fair play principles by the coaches.” It identifies the defeated opponents — Abhijeet Awasthi, Shubham Chourasiya, and Yogesh Namdev — as coaches at the child’s academy in Sagar. The complaint also questions a manual late entry for one tournament.

Sarwagya Singh Kushwaha, born in 2022, became the world’s youngest FIDE rapid-rated (1572) chess player in December 2025.
