The 11th and final day of the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2026 in Samarkand has concluded. Team 🇨🇳 China won the tournament with 20 points. China is 2 points ahead of the runner-up team 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan. The teams of 🇮🇳 India and 🇺🇸 United States of America finished the event in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

🇨🇳 China defeated 🇻🇳 Vietnam with a score of 3-1 in the final round. 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan drew with 🇵🇱 Poland, and 🇮🇳 India drew with 🇬🇪 Georgia. The teams of China and Kazakhstan did not lose a single match during the event.

Zhu Jiner’s 2638 performance is the highest in the team for the event. Song Yuxin and Lu Miaoyi played in all matches of the Olympiad and did not lose a single one. Yuxin’s and Miaoyi’s performances are 2492 and 2576 respectively.

The Chess Olympiad 2026 took place from September 16 to 27 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Time control for the event was Classical 90+0 for the first 40 moves and 30+30 for the rest of the game over 11 Swiss rounds. China won its seventh Women’s Olympiad in history.
