“The actual recording of the material took about 43 hours. But if you factor in editing, misspeaks, or mistakes in variations that required re-recording, it took about twice as much time.

For example, there was a chapter of about three hours that I completely re-recorded, because I had uploaded old analysis, and then realized I didn’t actually want to use it…

The course was also recorded in two different sessions. The first one was at the Chessable office around July 2023. Later, I went to the Chesscom office to record the second half of the course.

But nevertheless, the Ruy Lopez was fun to analyze and also to explain. And hopefully not too crazy for the viewers!

Reviews of the course are generally positive. From time to time, someone personally tells me that they are using the course to study this opening. It’s nice to hear!”
