India’s Gukesh D ranks as the second favorite at 4.00, after his strong results on the world stage this year. Nodirbek Abdusattorov holds the third spot at 7.00, while Praggnanandhaa and Firouzja follow at 8.00 and 9.00 respectively. Home player Bogdan-Daniel Deac faces the biggest challenge with odds of 101.00.
The Bucharest event follows the recent Superbet Poland Rapid & Blitz, which ended May 2 in Warsaw. Vladimir Fedoseev from Slovenia won the tournament with three rounds to spare, finishing five points ahead of the field and taking home $40,000 as the first leg winner of the 2025 Grand Chess Tour.
