American GM“I’m back to normal! I’m still on antibiotics for 10 more days. And then I can come back to physical training to lose all my fat that I gained during the hospital stay!
I don’t play in Romania, but if I get wild cards to other GCT events, then I will definitely accept!”
Levon Aronian withdrew from the GCT Super Chess Classic Romania 2026 on April 24. Aronian cited health issues as the reason, noting the need to recover from pneumonia’s consequences.
