Basilisk Esports announced the signing of Anish Giri to their chess roster. Giri joins Vincent Keymer in the team.

Anish Giri will begin representing Basilisk at GCT: Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2026, which starts on July 31. Giri did not qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026, which will take place in August.

From March 9, 2025 to July 23, 2026 Anish played for Team Secret. With the team, Giri won the FIDE Grand Swiss 2025, placed second in the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026, and played in the FIDE World Cup 2025.

Basilisk Esports is an international gaming organization, founded in 2020. The organization is owned by entrepreneurs Christopher Bothur and Hans Kassier. Basilisk is known for their rosters in StarCraft 2, Magic: The Gathering, and Chess.
