The 9th and final day of the Women’s Speed Chess Championship 2026 on Chess.com has concluded. 16-year-old American IM Alice Lee defeated four-time Women’s World Chess Champion Hou Yifan with a score of 11.5-9.5 in the Final of the event.

🇺🇸 Alice Lee defeated 🇨🇳 Hou Yifan 8 times and lost to her 6 times. Lee became the youngest-ever Women’s Speed Chess Champion since the event launched in 2019.

The Women’s Speed Championship 2026 took place from July 6 to August 7 on Chess.com. The event featured a 16-player Knockout in a match format. Quarterfinal and Final matches lasted 150 minutes, with 75 minutes of 5+1, 50 minutes of 3+1, and 25 minutes of 1+1.
