12-years-old Argentinian IM Faustino Oro, is eleven Elo-points away from becoming the youngest ever player to achieve a 2500 FIDE Rapid rating. To break this record, Oro must maintain his accumulated rating at the FIDE World Rapid Championship until its conclusion on December 28.

After ten rounds of the FIDE World Rapid Championship, Faustino Oro has scored 5.5 points from three wins, five draws, and two losses. This result nets him a gain of 19 Elo-points in the FIDE Rapid rating.

IM Faustino Oro already holds records as the youngest player to reach 2500 in both Classical and Blitz. His ratings are 2503 in Classical, 2489 in Rapid, and 2503 in Blitz. The updated Rapid rating will be available on December 28 following the conclusion of the FIDE World Rapid Championship.
