11-year-old English FM Bodhana Sivanandan scored 5/9 points at the Dole Open 2026 in France. Sivanandan gained +34.8 Classical points and set two new world records.

Bodhana played against four GMs and two IMs. Her total performance rating was 2463, and she achieved her second WGM norm and first IM norm. Sivanandan became the youngest female chess player with an International Master norm at the age of 11 years, 4 months, and 19 days.

Sivanandan became the youngest female chess player to defeat a 2600+ rated opponent. In the first round of the tournament, Bodhana defeated Marc’Andria Maurizzi in 39 moves. Maurizzi is the reigning French Champion.

Bodhana Sivanandan (2303) is England’s No. 2 female player. At the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2023, Sivanandan won with a perfect score in all three disciplines, including Classical, Rapid, and Blitz. In 2025, Bodhana became the youngest female chess player to defeat a GM. She won over GM Peter Wells at the 2025 British Chess Championship.
